Race Battery Relocation

I know mine's a 172, but mine is where the 4 bolts are at the back of the boot.

It's on it's side in a cage.

Between the passenger seat rails flat on the floor. Put some closed cell foam down. Bolts some steel strap straight through the floor.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to mount it like @John Lindsay and @eon172 have done it :up:
Just remembered, that's an old photo of mine, as later on I modified it to move it as far back in that foot well as possible, similar to John's. Reason being - to allow me to get the passenger seat as low and as far back as possible.

Hi, sorry for high jacking this post, im also going to be relocating my battery to behind the passenger seat.
Is it necessary to fit a second in line fuse close to the battery?

I would do away with the fuse in the engine bay and crimp on an eyelet and then fit a mega fuse right after the battery.
Makes for a neater connection in the engine bay doing away with the fuse
