Quick opinion needed - fitting new boot lid?

Hi all,

I've been silly this morning and reversed in to a post... mobile dent people are looking like £90-100+ to pull it, but i've found another black mk2 at a local scrappy who say i can have the boot lid for £25! god send... am i going to have any problems fitting a new boot lid?

How much work is it? am i biting off more than i can chew basically??

Piece of piss.

Just take the trim off and remove the wiring loom.

Where the loom joins to the rear screen just unclip this and push the rubber bungs through.

For getting the looom into the new bootlid I used cable ties joined together.

They are awkward so a second pair of hands would be a good help.

...and to your knowledge are there any major differences in design between mk2 models that would lead to any problems with compatibility?

PS - i've got a Haynes but not to hand at the moment!

Just make sure it's a phase 2 with the right boot lock button.

ok great so as long as the design is the same with the central renault badge button then i won't have any problems with compatibility?
