my little bro is wontin to put gti shocks onto his independance, can he simply pinch the shocks and springs of a KO'd 106 gti or wouldn't they fit?

yup, all interchangable.

but bearing in mind the springs on the GTi will be set for the extra weight of the 1.6 lump. so might sit a little high.
