Project Bonus - Mk2 Fiesta.....

  182 Cup & DCi 172
Well my Inferno Clio has gone and I have replaced it with a cracking little Fiesta.

It isn't perfect but it is superb fun.

It is a 1.0 Popular Bonus (dealer special).

It has 27k on the clock (genuine) and came nice and standard.

As it came around 2/3 weeks ago:

I already am parts collecting for a 1.8 zetec conversion and have an RS Turbo gearbox with LSD ready for this as well.

Will update this as I go through with the project........

It's awesome. Seriously awesome but... why didn't you buy an XR2?

Haha!! Awesome!!

Please get an XR2 steering wheel or something like that on it  I rocked one on my 1.1 Ghia back in the day, that & XR2i 8v wheels.

Cause they are all rotten mate, i have broken my 45,000 mile car up.

Also imo they look loads better without the body kit. :)

I do agree Scott it's proper cool with no kit on it and i'm guessing it's less rotten due to storage and mileage.

Awesome. One of the best field cars we had as kids on my mates farm. Ours was white and painted with black spots like a Friesian cow like you do as 13/14 year olds.

Base spec > XR2

I've been without mine for 18 months now :( the Clio is a better car in nearly every way but the Fiesta feels more special.

Love that but should have left it standard

No chance haha - it was bought to enjoy and they aren't nice to drive in modern traffic with original suspension, brakes and tyres.

Awesome. Every fiesta that left the factory wanted to be played with.

Definitely ;)

Well that is lovely!

Very nice!!

Cheers

I love the base models and the arches hide the tin worm. I will be keeping it on the standard arches even when it has the full resto done

Will be looking into one of the optional accessory wheels

I could be interested in the silvertop parts

Old cars are special to drive compared to the modern day equivalents. Such a sense of occasion when at the wheel. Thought my Mk1 Escort and XR4x4 used to get attention until this rocked up haha
