Problems with clutch / gerbox > New problem now!

so this will confirm if its my clutch on the way, or its just as simple as replacing the clutch cable etc...

Was in neutral, and the car was moving by itself! untill i pressed the brake

Ive done a search as i remembered a guy in a ph1 172, had similar problems, but couldnt find it and gave up..

Any ideas....

Clutch cable is self adjusting on these.


If its ticking over in neutral and starting to engage drive i would confirm that as a worn clutch plate. Stick it in high gear on a hill and try to move forward - if it revs as you drive off ( revs will increase ) it will be the clutch
