Problem with speedo!

Problem with speedo,

well this morning it was going funny car was cold, up a hill for about 5 secs it was going from 40mph to 20 and up and down then it was fine for the rest of the 30mile journey?

Any ideas??

somthing need a clean maybe?

mine went funny a few weeks back, the sensor is down the back of the engine, you can reach it from under the car if you jack it up (use axle stands remember!!!!) i just unclipped it and cleaned the terminals and put it back on and it sorted it!

thought as much, ill be up on a lift this weekend for new brakes and driveshaft, so ill remove and clean her then.

Its alot easier to reach from the top!!!

look at where the driveshafts go into the diff, the sensor is on top of the diff housing.
