have been trying to setup squid on our mail server unsucessfully.
Running ubuntu 610 (edgy) and up to date.
Installed squid nps and want to have it running as a transparent proxy.
IIRC you setup clients so that the gateway is set as the machine the proxy is running on.
atm onyl setting altered on squid is
http_port 10.1.0.251:3128 transparent
saved and restarted squid ok
on client with gateway set to 10.1.0.251
i got zilch and a tracert times out on everything !
tried with port on 80 and same
