Probably TDC Fault

  clio rs 2000
for a while i have a problem, the car turns but dont start in the first 2-3 attemps but if a give a little throttle it starts.
for about 4-5 seconds the idle is very low and the sound of the engine is different but after that everything will be normal
it makes it always when the engine is cold
i found that it can be TDC sensor and going to change it
but also thinking for the coolant temp. sensor

anyone has another idea?
and also if it is TDC does it also effect the performance of the car
what can be the difference of it

  clio rs 2000
yesterday i have changed the timing belt and aux belt kit
for now the problem is much more even on hot or cold
the car can stop anytime
while changing the belt we found that the timing fails 1 tooth but used all the locking tools and fit correctly the new one
i have cleaned the tdc also have 1 more spare but old and changed it, nothing changed
checked the coil, pack leads, tps no problem with them
after the timing belt change it seems that the mpg is a little lower
i have an rs tuner but no faults appear
next week i am going to check the timing again
but i am waiting any ideas from aynone
can it be the spark plugs? ( they are at 6k) timing, tdc or something different

  Mk5 golf gti
so once it is running is it running perfectly normal
id say a new TDC should sort it
doesnt sound like timing if it running fine once started

a faulty lambda (oxygen) sensor before the cat can also affect running and doesnt always show up on rstuner

  clio rs 2000
sometimes i see o2 fault on rstuner but when i erase it it wont appear for a while again
but after i changed the timing belt the problem increases and can also stops when hot
i have checked several parts but cant find anything
thinking to take of the inlet for looking to spark plugs maybe 1 of them has a crack on it

  clio rs 2000
i have changed timing belt kit and for now the problem seems to be more after 1 month
if i dont give a little throttle the car stops
going to check the timing again but
can it be from that?
also bought a o2 sensor may be it helps
