Preheating indicator light

  Clio 182 Trophy
The cars been stood still for a couple of weeks and I tried starting it yesterday and it just clicked. So charged the battery overnight and it's just started first time.

But I've got the preheating indicator light on (looks like a heart rate monitor) and it's idling at 2 - 2.5k revs. How do I get rid of it / fix it?

Also, I can't rev the engine myself.

  dan's cast offs.
could try cleaning the main connector and relays/contacts in the fusebox under the bonnet first. if it's idling high then chances are it's throttle circuit related.
