Potential purchase - 172 Cup stuck in gear

I trying to arrange a viewing on the above, being sold spares or repairs but I wanted some ideas on what the gearbox issue is likely to be so I know whether or not it's worth it?

Has it been sat for ages ? Does it start ?

If so, 20p says the clutch plates have rusted together.

Brake pedal to the floor.. Crank the key and it should free within a couple meters.. Be ready to turn ignition off if not !!

I'm going to "kick some tyres" @ 3PM to find out the crack.

Brake pedal to the floor though? If it's stuck in a higher gear that's not going to do anything for me as I'm assuming it'll just stall anyway?

UPDATE - Car's a mess, on MK3 Clio alloys, no Turini's, rear dampers shot, box stuck in 5th, no history.

And off I walk.........
