popping the balls

I have some new headlight washers and rather than doing the full job was gonna flush the system with hot water and pop the balls to see if the jets still worked.


How do you get the balls out without damaging the washer jet and is this just a lazymans way of fixing the issue?

I take it he means the wee balls you can adjust on the headlight washers themselves. :S

If you look at the washer jets and it looks like theres a black plastic ball stuck on end of each of them and it has a slot in it for the screenwash to spray out.

They can be moved to adjust aim of spray to headlight etc.

It is if you can do it, but as you've found getting the balls out is tricky without damaging them. Think it's easier to swap the whole unit.

Just be careful, it doesn't take much to damage these.

I think I may of done this with one of mine for my main wind screen

wheres the easiest to get them replaced?
