Poor Rear Brake Efficiency.

My CUP passed its MOT this week, however the rear brake efficiency was only 52%. The discs and pads both appear ok. Any ideas? Cheers

Be happy you've got 52%, most Cups give less.

May be a problem in the future then cause it needs 50% to pass

If you read the vosa thing, its meant to be like that mate. As it was manufactured that way, mot stations can pass them with a low rear brake bias. Sure mine was ridiculously low, summat like 30%? May be wrong though.

Exactly. I've done 82k mile on the original rear pads. What does that tell you about how much work they do?

82k! I though I was doing well at 66k.
