So I can see the exhaust all the way along the bottom of the car as was under the car yesterday and it looked well weird.

It was just bent all over the shop, it seemed to be fitted fine just wanted to check.

I'll just bump this as a friend has just bought one and he thinks the same. Can anyone post a pic of of a 172 mk 2 with original exhaust. (rare i know)

This was adam using my user id. What he wants to know is is the back-box suspended by one or two brackets? one either side.

Thanks for the previous replys, i've told him not to worry anyway as the reno one will soon rust and fall off anyway and then he can sort out a nice aftermarket unit.

The backbox is suspended by one bracket at the back, there is another mount about halfway along the car in the middle.
