Hi guys, Ive just done a deal on a monaco blue 172, Picking it up next week.
Ive had it pretty cheap as it has a few faults, 1st of all, The dog mount has pulled out of the gearbox, Its happened previously on the car and it was drilled and tapped, Badly im assuming so im going to drill and helli coil it. This has caused the exhaust to blow, It looks like its just worked itself loose from the manifold, Hopefully a quick fix. what im wondering is, Is this a common fault? And is there a reason (apart from shoddy workmanship) that its pulled out of the gearbox casing a second time.
Last but not least, It has a missfire (injector circuit open, cylinder 3. Po2o3) is the code, Any ideas? Im really hoping that the injector plug has just worked loose as hes been using it with the mount like this for a few weeks :weary:.
Any input welcome! Ill be getting under next week, hopefully getting it all sorted in a few hours.
