Ph2 172 Climate Control

Basically mine doesnt work, the control panel will make the air hotter but not really colder, it also will direct air around eg to the screen or your feet. But the fan doesnt blow and the air con part doesnt seem to work. Also my exterior temp doesnt display under the clock, could this be linked to the climate control?

I've been told that it could be the fan motor is burnt out and i need an air-con re-gas, Is this the case or is there something else that it could be?
