Hmmm £995 is very optimistic!! I would maybe offer him £500 or something seeing as your probably gunna need a new engine.

Looks in ok condition though in the pictures!

Might go have a look Saturday...

Surely not worth doing belts on a car sub 1k. Hope that it doesn't go pop, if it does replace engine.

Makes perfect sense.. you can pick an engine up for as little as £200.. belts are going to cost you circa £500 thats 2 engines maybe 3 if your lucky even one of those engines could last 10k miles you can never tell..

Drive it until it needs new belts!

Engines can be had for £250 and fitted in a day. For free if you do it yourself.

Belts (done properly) cost £500.

I could go through three engines by the time I'd spent the £500 on belts lol!
