PH1 172 Track Build

Okay so after i finished my last build i popped it up for sale and received this PH1 as a part ex. I spent a lot of time and money getting my last project to the spec it was and now having a car that has already been built is leaving me a bit bored with nothing to do.

So because i cant just sit still and enjoy a car im going to start a descent build on this one, ive already done 2 track days in it (knockhill and teeside test day) and the ABS lets the braking down massively! so, time for an ABS delete first off. Ive purchased a cup M/C and will be getting a custom braided set up from proline motorsport with bias valve.

Following on from that im going to see a local company about a custom weld in cage, one of the lads at knockhill had a nasty impact with a tyre barrier side on which has really convinced me to get one fitted.

Eventually i might well look to try and get involved with the tricolore trophy, i also fancy doing a couple rounds of time attack at some point.

Below is some photos of my old track build and my current PH1.

UPDATE.

ABS Delete kit ordered, complete braided line kit with internal lines for the rear brakes with a willwood BIAS valve to be mounted on the dash.
also ordered 2 replacement Michelin slicks to replace the ones i trashed at knockhill.

Brake wise i purchased a set of brembo calipers to use on the car however these are now for sale as ive decided to stick with the original caliper set up for now.

oh and my roof scoop came which is now painted red to match the new cage once thats in and powder coated.

Photos to follow

Took the dash out tonight, should make fitting and wiring the cut off easier as well as plumbing in the bias valve :)

Roof scoop needs bolting down and sealing just mocked it up tonight.

Looking forward to receiving the abs delete stuff and cracking on with that at the weekend hopefully.

In the mean time I will be sharing a mates s2000 at Blyton park in a couple Sundays time so that sound be good fun too

All went fine mate, wasnt too bad a job to be honest other than getting covered in brake fluid. Old MC off, brake lines and ABS pump removed. then refit cup MC and run the new lines which was dead easy :)

had a bit of a test with the bias valve and its great, highly recommend it.

I assume you're running internal lines with the bias valve?

Its definitely something I have planned, ideally before I take the car back out in March
