ph1 172 steering/suspension knocking!

knocking noise when go over rough roads/bumps from steering/suspension at front.

sounds like ball joint or bushes or something?
loose knocking noise. no real adverse effects on steering feel or anything. just irritating knocks/rattles.

not track rod ends, ball joints or anti roll bar links apparently.

wat else could it be? its been lowered and the guy said due to this extra stress it could be bushes on some arm - maybe steering arm cant remember.

HELP! doin my head in!

are polyurethane bushes a good option/idea?

after reading some post it still sounds like it could be ARB bushes!

could it also be top mounts, dogbone mount?

does sound like under car but in middle ish?

which ARB bushes could they be that are most common?

mines doin exactly the same!!!! comin from the rear knocking and really bouncy on rough roads still drives tho so drive it on!!!!

I'd have guessed the noise at the front was your top mount/s maybe?

right ive had the ARB outer bushes changed. is a little bit better but still loose knocks coming from somewhere!

could it be the engine mounts? its something from around the centre of the car now it feels but only over bumps and rough roads. really really irritating!
