paint type

hi anyone know what the exact colour(name) of my paint colour is,i have a 1993 16v and it is dark grey matalic,halfords dont know i,i just wanted to do a few little things like spray the handles etc!

watch out for halfords an there paint

they stock pearlescant black for mine, which is the right one, however there are 4 diff shades of it, halfords bein the standard or +silver one i think

halfords paint is sh*t dont touch it.

would go to a specialist car paint place and get your colour mixed in cellulose and do the job properly.

although this only helps if youve got a spray gun....??

There is a plate somewhere underneath your bonnet, that usually has the paint code on it! Just make a note of all the numbers / letters you can see, and your paint / body shop will know which ones relate to the paint code.

Dont know which, but if it looks gun-metal colour then itll be Tungsten 2 stage metallic (608) same as mine.

I went to the Renault garage and they showed me which it was... wasnt gonna buy any paint from them though!!!
