Oil light

I noticed that mostly the Oil ok(or whatever it says) text appears when I start the car for about 30secs but occasionally it doesnt and the display goes straight to the mileage! Anyone else had this and any ideas why it happens?

No hopefully not m8. Im not worried about it just curious lol!

Once, a few brake warning and service lights came on when I was driving... took it to the dealer and they found nothing wrong. It hasnt happened again since! These must be features of those great French car electrics!
