Oil in my air filter

I took my air filter off today to replace it and there was lots of oil all in the base of it!! it was black!! , has anybody else had this problem?

Could be from the breather, found on my old car when i took the pipe out it was caked in oil from the breather pipe.

Shouldnet be anything to worrie about unless there was a s**t oload of the stuff.

how much was it if its not that bad don't realy worry its the oil breather most likly.

well, it wasnt that bad, i started worrying about it, well i used about 10 bits of kitchen roll 2 clean it up,

itll just be from the Breather hose mate nothing to worrie about.

most likeley cause is over filling with oil the excess travels up the breather and leaks into the box

i know its a stupid question but where is the breather pipe?

Some people put engine oli into an air filter to some how make it better, I tuned out half way through this convo so I can't tell you why?
