The gearboxes should withstand that no problems.

Gearboxes in Civic Type R's, BMW M3's, Focus St's.... They can all handle the car. Its just yet another area where Renault haven't developed something properly and just given it to the customer to test for them. Cnuts.

At least 2 of those examples above (CTR and M3) suffer serious amounts of gearbox trouble (at least in one generation).
