  All the renaults :)
Hi all, i'm a renault tech from somerset, (so go ahead n ask me anything ya like)
i've had way too many cars for my age, never really settled for one but i've always loved the clios. i've been quite lucky in the fact that i get to drive them for a living, working on them can be umm fun?
I've had enough of my saxo's n other cheap n cheerfuls, i'm hoping to find a nice condition lowish mileage ph1 172, they're my favourite so if anyone is selling one a pm would be nice ;) but i will have a look through the threads, hopefully see some of you at tracks if not before

Hello mate, welcome to CS :)

Anything you say?.....hmmmmmm ok I've got a tester for you........why would using bosche plugs in a 182 cause the engine management light to come on?

If you can answer that you're a :star:.......but even if you can't you're still welcome ;)

  All the renaults :)
Hmm my answer would be that they shouldn't if they're correct to the car but knowing that renaults are very 'picky' about there ignition I'd say that they possibly had the wrong heat rating, if you weren't getting a misfire from it then the light could have been on due to the fact that possibly the fuel wasn't combusting correctly, the lambda's were going wild trying to correct the fuelling making the ecu see a problem, but without my trusty computer this is just a guess, have you put genuine Renault plugs in now?

Good answer buddy :star: just had it on the diagnostics and apparently the light coming on was unrelated to the bad plugs, turns out the light came on due to the abs system giving it a fault code!...but originaly the Lambda was making the car react badly to the incorrect plugs :(
And yes mate i now have the correct NGK plugs in :D
