New PC Build ( CPU / MB / Memory Clock Question )

  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4
Guys,

I'm starting to put a 'loose' list of components together and I'm a little out of step with things.

If I have a motherboard that has support for the following:

Memory 6 x DIMM, Max. 24 GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.)*/1600/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory

And I'm running an i7 920 D0 2.66GHz @ 1366MHz (no desire to OC)

I was looking at the following memory:

But then for the difference in price I'd be more inclinded to go with the following:

Question is, I presume even though I'm running the CPU @ 1366MHz bus I can ofcourse run the memory at a different speed, this MB obviously supports 1600MHz and I would assume the 1866Mhz, but aren't 100% sure?

Go with the cheaper option unless you intend on doing some heavy overclocking mate. You can run either and the cpu will plod along fine. Bit rusty as of late with the hardware front but I'm sure most if not all Asus i7 boards support those bus speeds
