New front discs and pads needed - Mk2 172

Hey guys! Anyone got any advice on new brakes for the mk2 172? Manchester area? No one seems to have this bloody car in their brakes supplier lists etc, so dont know about upgraded ones or owt! do i have to get ripped off by renault dealer shoddy labour??

Thx all,

si.

Renault will probably charge a fortune for discs/pads. If you want to upgrade you could get some G88 40 groove discs from Tarox (tel: 01706 222872) and if you are a Cliosport member you will get a 10% discount.

There are also other options like 4 pot calipers at http://www.k-tecracing.comwww.k-tecracing.com

Th brakes are the sam as the Laguna apparently.

Go to halfords they have a book telling you what brakes are fitted to the car and are quite cheap. I paid £17 for new pads although there were some £13 ones there. Im not sure how much they wante for disks but Renault wanted £40 for the pads and £55 to fit them.

Ps the prices are for the Dynamic brakes.

If you want to upgrade them get some Willwood discs, callipers, lines and pads. Superb setup, and very good value for money. Phenomenal under hard braking on a light car like the Clio. Have a look <A target=_blank href= "http://www.raldes.co.ukhere and give them a ring

wot does fitting non renault parts at a non renault dealer do to the warrenty, or is it the sort of thing that wouldnt be affected under warrenty any way??

Dunno admob, they are proper "renault parts" but not MADE by renault as such. But ill be damned if im paying those b******s 130 quid for pads and discs and another 60 odd for fitting or more probably.

went to andyspares.com and it turned into "GSF car parts" theyve got an outlet near me
