New Engine.

  Clio 197 '07
Hi, Had my clio 197 for ten months and loved every minute of it.

Unfortunately the auxiliary belt has failed, and taken the cambelt with it.

Does anyone know of a reliable engine for sale for me to swap in?

Thanks for your help.

  dan's cast offs.
will probably be cheaper to do the valves, i've had a couple of 197 engines cheap but not many about at the mo.

I am just in the process of stripping the head off to see the damage - but seeing as the belt went at about 7k rpm I'm fearing the worst!
Just planning what is the best path to take,
1) flog entire car as a project for someone with the time - not sure what the car would be worth - low mileage (68k) chassis in good condition.
2) strip and repair current engine
3) replace engine

meg conversion is cheap at the mo as there are plenty of cheap donor cars around, i reckon six months or so and the cheap megs will of dried up. but the more conversions that get done the cheaper the 197/200 engines will be though.
