Never new tyres made such a difference

Got my new alloys on the car the other day and they came with some "average" tyres (said the guy in the shop).

Anyway, I set off and the 1st thing I notice is that when I went over a speed bump it felt like I was in a Transit - hardly felt it!! Im thinking this is alright.

After a bit I decided to put mi foot down round a few bends and the car just didnt fill me with confidence - felt like jelly and no real feel in the steering!

I just never realised what a difference a good quality tyre makes to the car - no more re moulds for me :)!!!

Will be swapping my tyres round ASAP and getting the exaltos on!

Re moulds are rubbish!

but are you sure youve got the right pressures? sounds like they are a bit low from what youve said

Yeah back in the days before PAS you would really notice new tyres because the steering was initially a lot lighter until they scrubbed in. The effect was like having PAS fitted to your car. Also every garage I have ever been to has never got the pressures right. We are talking 45psi on one wheel, 20 on another etc etc!!!!
