Need A New Gearbox...Where Best To Get One (2001 1.2 16v)

Right, after the gearbox going last night... i need a new one.
Not quite sure what happened or why the gearbox went, was just driving along and then all of a sudden there was a kinda whirring noise (like the noise when you crunch a gear almost) and i had no drive.

Took it to a mates garage this morning and turns out i need a new gearbox... so any cs'ers know where i can get a gearbox from for my 2001 MK2 PH2 Clio 1.2 16v?

Im in Southampton area, if it makes any difference to getting one local?

i got one from ebay with 8k miles for £120 on a no reserve auction just watch ebay and you'll get a bargain

I bet the cir clip and shim have sheered and fallen out of the diff. If so, it is new gearbox time! Try all parts, they have allways been good to me!

Yep! thats exactly what has happened!
Ill keep an eye out on eBay for a bargain me thinks.

Ill have a look at all parts aswell.
