NAS drive advice

Looking at a nas drive atm in pc world, Its the 2tb western digital mybook live. (£69.99) Am i right in thinking i could just leave the ethernet plugged into my laptop and use it just like a usb drive, or does it have to work over wifi?

I am just looking at it because at the sale price it beats the price of the other usb drives in store.

It would need to he plugged into the router not your laptop. You could connect your laptop to the router via ethernet for faster transfer speeds.

Went and bought a USB one in the end, they had some wd element's 2tb for 70 quid, that'll do me

Probably best. Transfer over wifi can be quite slow.
