N73 msg tone

Hey

Im trying to change my default N73 to an Mp3 that I have saved on the mem card. It's easy to change the ringing tone but not the msg tone it seems as there isn't an option (that I can see) to select from the mem card.

Tools -> Profiles -> Options -> Personlise-> 6th option down (Message alert tone)

In here it will list all MP3 and sound files and will display a little icon for those on the memory card. Make sure your memory card is recognised in the phone first as V1 of the firmware has a habit of losing contact with some cards despite it being in the phone.

Exactly right. So long as the mp3 is stored in a folder visible within the profile manager then you should be able to select it as described above.

ahhhh that does it.

Moving the file from being stored outwith the tones folder did the trick.

Reallyshould have beenable to figure that one out!
