Mysterious lead

  2004 clio 182
While taking off my bumper today I noticed this lead just dangling over by the fuse box, does anyone have any idea as to it purpose ?

Well I've searched everything I can see and I'm still no closer to finding out what that gray connector is for.... Anyone ?

Out of genuine interest, what is this?

Short answer nothing and is pointless so I removed mine but I have an RS2 so its even more redundant now but its only there to reduce the induction noise below 3000rpm or something like that. Pretty much like an active exhaust valve on the inlet for some EU crap I should imagine
