My quick afternoon detail on the Monaco..

Coming from this thread:

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...ter-in-the-southwest-that-fancies-a-challenge

The cup was detailed by Lesley, then promptly written off for me by a BMW in track.

As Lesley and chip move away tomorrow, I was left to do the Monaco myself.

As you can see pretty poor state.

So started with the wheels using ixtar from Renault (supposed to dilute this..) neat on the wheels. It did a brilliant job.

Impressed with how well it came up, I used it on the rest of the car. Using my best detailing brush

Can someone get some water for gally?

Yes the paint work was fucked from 10,000 miles of carbone Lorraine's brake dust without so much as a wash.

It's come up well really.

All in jest, it's destined to be a track car so it'll never be for sale ;)

Lol at people crying about the paintbrush.

No different to detailing brushes people spend serious cash on. As long as the metal doesn't touch the paint obvs.

except they are all plastic with no metal in sight, and I wouldn't say detailing brushes are any more expensive than a good paint brush btw.

I find it funny how people think they're clever or rebelling somehow by 'going against the grain' in regards to Detailing/cleaning processes. We get it, its not for everyone, if spending hours cleaning your car isn't your thing why bother with this section of the forum.

I'm a keen amateur.

I think the pad and polish combination here might have been a bit too abrasive though.
