My exhuast problem!

Here is the problem, i have a 182 with ktec exhaust, been hearing a slight rattling noise and it has got louder, ive noticed that if looking at it from the rear thr right hand tailpipe has lower and is resting against the bumper, causing alot of vibration through the car. Trying to find out what is wrong with it, is it the mounts or the actual exhaust?

I was given a good tip the other day from a friend of mine who has built a number of rally and circuit cars and also owned 172 a one point.

He recommended filling cavities in the exhaust mounts with rtv silicone or similar and this (one it has chance to go off properly, put them in the airing cupboard for a couple of days) firms them up and will make them much more durable.

He said that this is what they do when preparing cars for competition and where uprated exhaust mounts aren't available for whatever reason.

Simple and effective, I'll definately be doing it soon when replacing my rear mounts.
