Yep another one of these threads. Thought i'd put up a few of my favourites from my first year of motorsport photography. Comments very welcome.

My first event was the BTCC race at Thruxton. (1/250 at F13, 75-300mm f4-5.6)

Overall i had a great first year and really enjoyed going to so many events. For 2009 i want to keep improving, try and take some more interesting shots, and get to even more events.

Thanks for looking.

some very nice shots there mate, did you notice an improvement when upgrading to the F4 70-200mm, ive only just got mine and yet to use it for motorsport (infact ive only shot like 3 pics on it just to test it lol)

Certainly a noticeable jump in quality with the 70-200 pics onwards imo.

Your Gurston pics are my favourite, really nice frame filling shots full of detail and movement.

Some very nice pics there mate.

Like Chris says, Big jump with the 70-200, i really like the Gurston Hill pic. Very sharp for such a slow shutter speed.

We will have to bump into each other at some events this year.

We have attended several of the same ones by the looks of things.

Cheers. Definitely noticed an improvement after upgrading the lense, the shots look a lot crisper and to me they certainly look better. I saw a particular improvement in poor weather shooting.

Certainly a noticeable jump in quality with the 70-200 pics onwards imo.

I really like the Gurston pics, they were one of the few venues i went to where i could get really close to the action with that lense which helped with getting some good shots.

Really nice pics, what camera you using?

Using a 400d at the moment, planning on getting a 40d in the new year.

Nice pics, how do you find out when all the events are on?

www.racedates.net and the websites for all the circuits, sprint and hillclimb venues.

Yeah definitely try and bump into one another this year, i'm going to try and get to more events in general and especially more at Brands.
