msn messenger problems, help

ive been trying to install version 7 of messenger and it downloads no problem then when i try to install it, it gets to the installation screen and the progress bar stops and its crashes the installation, ive tried downloading it a few times but it keeps doing this, any ideas?

grrrrr ive tried everything, doing the upgrade option, uninstalling the whole thing, then adding it all again and it still keeps getting to just before the end of the green progress bar and crashs, then when i try to install it again it says the other application is installing so it cant, but its crashed?! god i hate computers!

I downloaded the latest one last night got it 1st time, don't know??
