MS Word - Auto correct template

  Tesla MP3 2021
In word 2003 you could use the auto correct feature as a template by using a short word.
For example if I was to setup an email template, I just literally copy the entire email and its formatting and add it as a custom auto correct option using a 3 or 4 digit text string. So if I typed "abcd" in a blank email and hit return it would bring through the whole template I saved and the formatting.

Now in word 2007 it doesnt work the same, you can only save the first line of text and I have tried everything!

Does anyone know how to do this in word 2007?

Cheers

Although not the answer to your specific question, if all you're wanting it for is e-mail templates, you could set up a template in signatures? Then you just click insert > Sig > Template x
