I have just got my Clio, it's a Mk 3 Dynamique, quite happy with the car. One thing which has been bugging me is the silver thing below the bumper, not sure what it's called. I think some people call it an insert.
Here is a pic of the front end:

What I want to do is either remove it and leave it off (if it looks OK) or remove it and paint it. If I paint it, I would paint it black and hopefully would look something like this:
