Miniyou´s Black Gold 182

I thought I should start a progress thread about my newly acquired Renault Clio 182.

It has close to 89,000 miles (143,000 km) and a few niggles, but which renault doesn´t ... hahahah

As a summary of the car:
-Belts were done at 70,000 miles
- It has compomotive MO5 alloy wheels with Michelin PS3

Things I have already done:
- Restore the headlights
- Engine oil and filter change
- Gearbox oil change
- Cleaned the seatbelts
- Change the dogbone for the OEM replacement
- Change Aux belt and tensioners
- Change ALL engine mounts
- Change rear exhaust hangers
- Skoda fabia vRS splitter

Things I would like to get done in the future are:
- Fatty´s induction kit (Already ordered, just waiting for the alloy pipe)
- Refurbish the alloy wheels (Maybe will dip them)
- There is a Klonk noise in the front suspension when going over bumps
- Will have to get the depahser and timming belt done again at some point as the dephaser is a bit noisy.
- I would love to get some turinis at some point
- The aircon is not working
- Rear right calliper seized, so might have to get a new one or refurbish mine ( I have free it up a bit but do not know if it will hold for long)

And that´s it. Hope you enjoyed it and will try to keep this updated to the best of my abilities.

Some random pics of the car:

I installed this weekend the IK that The Fatty put together (Link) and everything I have to say is that is AWESOME! The sound it makes when pressing more than half way the throttle is amazing, and when you want to go like Flanders it makes no more sound than the original intake system. Here are some pics of it:

The only "problem" is that I am not sure how to fix it properly in place, but will try some options.

So not much has been going on with the BG, I had the ESP + SERV lights poping up randomly. After some investigation I found that the problem was with the brake pedal sensor and I reset it following a guide on here. That resulted on comfirming that it was indeed the pedal sensor as the lights poped up every time i was driving the car, so I bought a new brake pedal sensor and the lights have not come back again. Problem solved!

The sensor part Number was : 7700414988.

Next, I am investigating about the clonk in the right hand side of the suspension. Will update soon.

Anymore updates mate? :grinning:
Yes, but not gone very far. I try solving the knocking noise by changing the top mount of the suspension, but I think i have done somethin wrong as there is a big gap between the top hat and the body.
Side with no Knocking:

New Item and still knocking:

The diference is pretty obvious. I have taken it apart both sides to compare and they look the same next to each other. Any help would be appreciated!

Apart from this, i have not driven it that much anyway. Will have to use it more often now.

Okay! Update time!

I finally solve the knocking issues, it was a balljoint... Hahahah had to take to a mechanic and he instantly recognised what is was.
With that out of the way I bought a radio and some speakers for the back as one was broken.

The Radio JVC KD-X320BTE

Speakers Kenwood KFC - E1365

They are average components, but they work surprisingly well.
After that I bought some dampers, 172 Cup for the front and 182 Cup for the rear. They are a bit stiffer than stock, but i found out when changing them that my rear ones where from a clio 1.2... There has been a significantly improvement in stability I have to say. I bought them from renaultcarparts uk. Top service .

And thats it pretty much. I am planning on doing a refurb of the alloys and have to change the two front tyres.

Also, I have to say that i have bought an MX5 MK2.5 to enjoy during summer time here in spain.
