Megclio thoughts

Hi guys new to the forum, I’ve recently just sold an M3 and seen a megclio up for sale, how reliable are these I’ll probably mainly use it for trackdays rather than road use! the m3 was pretty reliable so wondering your thoughts? Any common issues with the Megane engine?

Depends which Megane engine it is.

The Mk2 225/R26 engines are starting to crack ring lands on the pistons now with age. (refer to @dann2707 ?)

The Mk3 250/265/275 engine is much stronger.

Yes this has r26 engine and box fitted with it all being rebuilt a couple of yes ago, the guy reckons the car is well known (its blue) and a guy called Chris Powell built it?
