megane serv light and oil flashing on dashboard

Hi guys
my dad has a 1.6 16v megane. Not sure what age but around 2000

The "SERV" light has come on on the dashboard.

When turning the ignition on it also flahshes "oil" with lots of dashes.

I pressed the button on the stalk to get into the mini diagnostic on the dash. It reads "---h" what does this mean.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Oil level ok?

OIl was low, but not off the dipstick. Put more in and fault didnt clear.
