Material to cover my thumb grips!

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get this material from?

As I made some thumb grips a while ago but they're far from perfect so I want something to cover them with.

And I tried to cover them with some black suede but it wasn't stretchy enough and couldn't go round the bends on them so had to cut it into two bits but it llooked rubbish!

I can't find anything on there which either doesn't cost aa bomb or looks like its going to be stretchy enough :/
