Matched Inlets and map

Thinking of having this done next week at AP-D along with an Exhaust from prospeed tomorrow.

What peoples thoughts on matched inlets with a combined map? Good gains?

I've fitted a set of his inlets, they look pretty good... not too sure about his mapping though?

Exhaust, inlets and Map will give you approx 186bhp. Did for me anyway. Thats was a net gain of 15bhp for me(Inc Maxogen & Decat)

Cheers man, I'm aware of the figures but how did the car feel? Before and after? Worth it?

Or if it was a PH-1 188bhp (with no Maxogen )

the car actually made just over 167 ft/lb IIRC, slight mistype on the video


The mods made my power delivery a hell of alot smoother lower down the rev range, with a nice increase in torque

5K onwards the car pulled very HARD all the way to the limiter, if required but my 172 was a bit of a freak engine... as your's seemed to of been Ali!

Mine was bloody fast. Easily pulled on a std 172...Enough to warrant the cost...Probably not, but i was young, dumb and full of cum at that age, so seemed like a good investment. I used to have a vid of mine vs a std 182 and it pulled on that from 50-100 odd jelly beans. But in 4/5th at 50mph and booting it the 182 was more torquey.

I then got Headwork and it ran 192.6, didn't feel any different, but gave me that extra 6bhp for willy waving purposes.

haha, I take it the gent that binned yours is planning on getting it fit again? If he ever breaks it I'd love to dissect it to see what cams it's running lol

Mine really pulled on standard and "modded" 172's.. A good 4'ish + car lengths from standing start 0-100 chomp bars.

then even more so when it was stripped to death LOL

Paul at RStuning did comment "byy ek, what cams is that runnin pal" when it pulled 184bhp in its first run..

my response "Renault Sport standards pal" hahahahaa
