lumpy idle when warm

F4Rs are lumpy when warm. They all do it so don't worry about it.

My Clios aftermarket exhaust makes that noise and it isn't a misfire. It's done it from the minute it was fitted and that was years ago.
It's just the noise some exhausts make.

my 172 is exactly the same

mines seems ok when its cold rev counter sits above 10 and no more but when its warm its a bit bubbley, and a seem to have a dead spot when a rev it, so am hoping this is to do with the dephaser pulley witch am getting changed on thursday along with the timing belt and aux belt, if not a will need to try the spark plugs and ht leads.

i was due to service my car today change the spark plugs, oil, oil filter and petrol filter to see if that sorts it, its more then likely the spark plugs as only certain spark plugs can be used ( ngk pfre-10) and as ive just bought the 172 there's a good chance the previous owner has put the wrong spark plugs in, that's what im hopeing anyways but things are never simple with cars, but i didnt have chance to find out and service it today as my rear drivers side wheel bearings decided to destroy itself, but it will be getting serviced very soon so ill let you know if it sorts the problem.

Do you mean it has a moments hesitation before revving when you press the pedal from idle?
