Not sure it will reach the same temp - this assumption is based around the cooling system running at full capacity when maintaining normal temp. If there is sufficient cooling capacity within the system and the stat opens at a lower temp then the mean running temp will be lower. Yes but the actual engine runs better at the right heat and aslong as you shield the air intake from the heat then it ultimatly runs better hotter, mean running temp will be slightly lower depending on driving time agreed
