Low oil pressue what to look for?

Just had my first MOT and it Passed! Wahoo

However my oil warning light is on, the garage (and two other Renault Garages) say it *should* just be the sensor. Its booked in for a service in two weeks and their going to look at it then.

I was just wondering what to look out for if my pressue was low.

Just so i dont blow my engine!

has it got oil in it?

Yeah its got oil, the light comes on intamitantly (Spelling?). It came on on the way to bristol, checked oil fine. When i got home after 120miles checked again, same levels.

get a manual oil pressure check done.

its likely a wiring connection...but i'd rather know for sure if it was me!

Asked them at garage today but they didnt have a manual tester!

Will try other local stealer tommorow.

All three garages (All Renault) have told me i will know if there is something wrong, im asuming it would run hotter and there would be a knocking?

yeah the traditional you'll know when its fucked mate response.

I echo Craigy Poo's suggestion of manual check
