Lost my Keys!

I have lost the keys to my ph2 172.
I have purchased a replacement ignition barrel, door locks and petrol cap with matching key blade.
My question is; can the existing barrel be taken out without the correct existing key. ( seems incorrect but... I also heard something about the ECU might not work with the new barrel?) or am I just better off scrapping the whole idea of replacing the barrels and get a new replacement direct from Renault?

You'll need to get a new fob as well, would probably work out cheaper and easier to get new kuch, ecu and fob and then get your key number and get a new blade cut for that instead.
