out of curiosity subway, have you ever mounted the horse in the first picture?

i am having wild fantasies of you riding bare back firing your shotgun straight up in the air whilst wearing a cowboy hat.

It comes in two pieces and the diagonal bar comes lose.

I will need to take out the seats & maybe carpet.

Fit the cage and then put the seats & carpet back in.

Easier said then done I hear? Your probably right lol

i always thought it odd that if you fit a rollcage it puts the insurance up.....

Yea I'm going to have to strip the entire car, it goes like this;

- Strip everything
- Weld 2x feet behind the front seats
- Fit the cage it along with support plates & bolts
- Drill all necessary holes
- Make sure cages fits properly
- One cage is all in go for a test run/week
- If everything turns out to be A-OK, I will take the cage out, spray it white and put it back in again.

Lots of work but its all worth it at the end of the day!

As for the horse -

I use to horse ride but I never actually fucked a horse...I simple couldn't fit it all in tbh. Shame :(

they are a c**k to fit in, mine is a safety devices one and it took about 4 hours. Best using torque belt straps to pull the bars in together, makes it easier to fit into minis anyway.

Good luck mate, good purchase.

Will look fantastic but your insurance will go through the roof and you'll might be hacking that dash to pieces.

lol JAY, nice!

Nathan has found a guy to weld the necessary parts in, and then I and Nathan (mostly Nathan) will fit the cage ourselves.

There are a few problems on the way like:

No passenger rear seats
Plastic pillars (where the seat belts sit) will need to be taken out
Most of the carpet will need to go
Welding will need to be on the car
Drilling holes in the floor of the car
Bolting in plates to reinforce the cage

^ But that’s all part of being hardcore!

Once it’s all in though I will customize my carpet and pillar plastics to fit over & around the cage.

I'm a little annoyed that it won’t be in before Sunday! :(

All I need now is Buckets & Harnesses, and then I should be done for the interior!

Will look good! It does take a bit of force depending if its a bodgejob or not! It took two lads i know to fit one into a nova the other week.

Good Luck and would like to see finished pictures

I know you've said you aren't going to bother with telling the insurance but i've been turned away for quotes full stop when it comes to cars with cages. Its all very well saying it's hard to see but if you crash it it's not like they're going to miss it lol! Then before you know it, you're Joel: The Sequel.

that is a very good point. you don't want to lose your pride and joy, as it may not even be your fault (like joel) and you still het buggered.

just be real careful!!!!
