Limp mode and coil light on dash

Early today, My PH2 172 went into limp mode, It wouldnt rev passed 2900rpm and the coil light in the centre of the dash came on. Pulled over, Turned it off and it started fine and seemed to sort itself out. Assuming its going to happen again, Is it a common fault? Hopefully it is, And i can get it sorted before it happens again.

hi i had this on mine,and it was corrosion on big white plug in fuse box area

It's often associated with the lambda sensor, especially if you've got a decat fitted.
