is it worth getting my crank and fly wheel lightnthed well there off?? il b puttin a fast road clutch on also is there any thing i can do 2 the block 2 perform betterwith out changing the pistons im doin all the rings well the pistons are out
No. Build it to bang on standard tolerances, replace the bearings and plastigauge to ensure clearances are correct and if you have a few quid spare fit ARP2000 big end fasteners to ensure reliable sustained high RPM use. Obviously have the block properly honed as well to ensure good ring pack bedding and make sure you get plenty of gas generated in the chambers very shortly after first start up to push the rings into the bores.
Fast road clutch...... is that instead of one of those slow road clutches? Just stick a standard Renault one in - they take 220ftlbs quite happily and are pretty tough.
