I've just recieved my light weight battery to replace my flat OE one...lasted 9 years, not bad!
Just wondering if anyone has any tips for fitting it in the engine bay, on it's side, mounted to the gear box mount? Before I go and reinvent the wheel.
I found a good guide on fitting it in the boot which was good but I want to keep it in the engine bay. I've searched as much as I can, but really can't find anything with any photos?
I was thinking of laser cutting a flat sheet of alloy/steel to fit to the top of the gearbox mount using the original battery retaining screw hole and the two screw holes for the air box. Then fixing the battery cage to this flat sheet with the nuts and bolts.
